FAQ
How does a coin get paired to a creator?
By one line in the coin's description:
fees to tiktok.com/@handle via GIFT. It's written at launch and can't be changed afterwards, so nobody can re-point a coin later. Why do gifts wait for a LIVE?
TikTok gifts can only be sent to someone who is streaming. So each coin's fees queue up while the creator is offline and land when they go live, on camera, in front of their viewers.
Does the creator have to do anything?
No. There's no wallet to connect, no code to paste and nothing to claim. They just go live. Creators listed here haven't been contacted and don't endorse any coin, and GIFT isn't affiliated with TikTok.
Who actually sends the gifts?
A GIFT account on TikTok, which buys coins and sends the gifts during the LIVE. TikTok has no public API for gifting, so a person presses send. The account is named here at launch, and every gift gets a receipt.
How much reaches the creator?
TikTok keeps about half of what a gift costs. A Galaxy costs 1,000 coins (about $10) and pays the creator about $5. The calculator above shows both numbers.
What if a creator never goes live, or says no?
A creator can opt out with one message and their pairing stops for good. A queue that hasn't landed after 30 days, or belongs to a creator who opted out, is never re-pointed and never kept by GIFT. The rules are in the docs.
